The Board will hear a request from Supervisors Arnold and Adams to consider support of the Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act of 2013 (HR 1565) regarding gun control and background checks. The effort is part of a national campaign to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists and the mentally ill while respecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners.

The Board voted to support HR 1565.
