Voter Turnout Award

California Secretary of State Debra Bowen will present a Certificate of Honor to the Board in recognition of the County's dedication to civic engagement resulting in the highest voter turnout in the state for the Nov. 6, 2012, general election. The turnout was 87.37 percent of registered voters. The last time Marin earned such a certificate was 1952.

Secretary Bowen presented the award to Supervisor Arnold and elections staff and volunteers were thanked and congratulated. A reception followed in the Elections Office.
