Supervisor Katie Rice read the following statement:
The Health and Human Services (HHS) Media Team is a cross-divisional group that represents a new way of working and communicating, both internally and externally with the public and our community partners.
The team helps tell the stories of HHS’ community work and programs and provide internal staff updates. The team supports staff in seven locations and advises them on issuing critical alerts and communicating with the media. Members assist with presentation formatting and technology. Each member brings unique talent and creativity to the team in creating press releases, newsletters, flyers, videos as well as social media outreach and web design. The team works collaboratively with the public health officer, the County’s public information officer, and the County’s public information team to stay on the cutting edge with their expertise.
Staff in HHS appreciate the assistance of the HHS Media Team, and the County of Marin is proud to recognize them as Team of the Quarter.
Under the management of Sparkie Spaeth, and supervised by Cicily Emerson, the team members are Trent Boeschen, Erin Cochran, Chris Mai, Alice Kinner, Cio Hernandez, Shelagh Stewart-Chung and Alison Sexauer.
