An Oasis Alongside San Pablo Bay

55-acre McNears Beach Park sits in a beautiful sheltered cove along the shores of San Pablo Bay. A swimming pool and snack bar are open during the summer season. Year-round facilities include group picnic areas, expansive turf, sand volleyball courts, renovated tennis courts, and a popular fishing pier for sturgeon, striped bass, shark, perch, halibut, and crab. A designated "trailhead" on the San Francisco Bay Area Water Trail, McNears Beach offers easy carry-in access for kayaks and canoes. Parking and pier are wheelchair accessible. Learn about park hours and fees for entry, parking and pool use. Sorry, no dogs or other companion animals at McNears, except service animals.

McNears is a great place to have a gathering with family and friends. Groups of 20 or more require a park reservation. You can reserve a large group area at McNears Park using the online reservation system. If you would like parks staff to assist you with making a reservation, call (415) 446-4424.
