San Rafael, CA – What’s going on at the 76th Marin County Fair this summer? Step right up to the fair’s smartphone mobile application that further unifies the desktop and mobile experience. More information is at your fingertips in both platforms.
This year's fair app further unifies the desktop and mobile experience.
The 2017 fair runs June 30 through July 4 at the Marin County Fairgrounds in San Rafael, but even before then the app will serve as a guide for both iOS and Android devices. It’s brought to fairgoers by the
Department of Cultural Services in partnership with
Information Services and Technology (IST).
In addition to being packed with fresh fair information, the app creates an interactive experience through an interactive word jumble game, a GPS-responsive map, and social media links. Guests can find the perfect snack or meal, search for a baby changing area or a water fountain.
"I love the fact that our fairgoers can get all the information about the fair right from their own phones," said Director of Cultural Services Gabriella C. Calicchio. “Innovation and creativity are always forefront as we strive to offer first-caliber everything from the arts, technology, agriculture, learning, exhibits and unique programs found nowhere else in the nation.”
Additionally, the mobile application helps the fair live up to its “Greenest County Fair on Earth” record, reducing the need to produce printed fair guides.
Download the Marin County Fair Application on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
This year the fair is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love and is themed Let the Funshine In! Tickets are on sale now. Learn more at www.marinfair.org.
