Several Openings on Human Rights Commission

Supervisors recruiting District 2 residents and someone to fill at-large seat

San Rafael, CA – The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, July 14, for openings on the Marin Human Rights Commission, which provides a public forum, serves as a resource to the community, and advises the Marin County Board of Supervisors on human rights issues.

The mission of the commission is to promote a community based on social justice, with equality for all, and to eliminate discrimination based on race, religion, color, age, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, place of birth, national origin, or disability.

Supervisor Katie Rice is seeking community members to represent District 2, which includes the towns and neighborhoods of Gerstle Park, Lomita Park, Bret Harte, Sleepy Hollow, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Ross, Kentfield, Greenbrae, and downtown Larkspur. Also, the commission has one at-large seat open; applicants may reside anywhere in Marin County.

Apply online or learn more about the application process by calling the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at (415) 473-7331. You can also request an application by mail at Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Suite 329, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael CA 94903 or by email at commissions@marincounty.org.
