San Rafael, CA –The deadline is 5 p.m., July 14, to apply for a vacancy on the advisory board for Marin County Service Area (CSA) #20, representing two unincorporated areas near the Novato city limits.
This volunteer board advises Marin County Open Space District staff and the Board of Supervisors on projects and programs that can be funded from the CSA #20 budget and affect Open Space District lands within the boundaries of CSA #20. Indian Valley is a rural area about a half mile south of downtown Novato; Domingo Canyon includes neighborhoods off the western end of Ignacio Boulevard.
Applicants must live within or own property within the boundaries of CSA #20 but cannot live or own property within 500 feet of the lands of the Marin County Open Space District.
