San Rafael, CA – Voting is underway in a Larkspur-Corte Madera School District special election for a parcel tax to support education, and the County’s Registrar of Voters, Lynda Roberts, has several reminders for voters.
Polling stations will not be open for this election, but a secure ballot box will be located outside the Civic Center April 25 through May 3.
“Don’t forget that it’s vote-by-mail only with no polling places, and we need you to sign your ballot envelope,” Roberts said. “We can’t process a ballot unless the return envelope is signed. For the ballots we have received without a signature, we will send a notice to the voters so they have a chance to sign it.”
The ballot envelope must be postmarked on or before May 3. However, Roberts encouraged voters to return ballots a few days before Election Day.
Starting April 25, a secure ballot box will be placed at the main entrance to the Marin County Civic Center through 8 p.m. Election Day. The main entrance is on Peter Behr Drive under the Civic Center’s south archway.
Voters may cast ballots in person at the Elections Department, located in Suite 121 at the Civic Center. Voting may be done during regular weekday hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or on Election Day, May 3, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
