Elections Department Makes Voting Convenient

Saturday voting offered; secure outdoor ballot box available at Civic Center

San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Elections Department will be open on Saturday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to offer in-person voting for the Presidential Primary Election plus local races and measures. Voters may also cast ballots in person during regular weekday hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or on Election Day, June 7, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The drop-off box looks similar to a mailbox and is situation just outside the gates at the Civic Center's south archway.The dropoff box for ballots is situated just outside the Civic Center gate at the south archway on Peter Behr Drive.
Do you vote by mail? Your ballot must be postmarked no later than Election Day and received by the Elections Department within three days. Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts encourages voters to mail ballots at least five to seven business days before the election if possible, or return them to any polling place in Marin from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

A red, white and blue secure ballot box is stationed at the main entrance to the Marin Civic County Center through 8 p.m. Election Day. The main entrance is on Peter Behr Drive under the Civic Center’s south archway.

May 31 is the last day to apply for a ballot by mail, online or by phone.  After May 31, voters may continue to apply for a ballot in person at the Elections Department located in Suite 121, Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive.
