San Rafael, CA – The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, June 19, for seven vacancies on the Marin County Human Rights Commission. The appointing authority is the Marin County Board of Supervisors.
All applicants must be Marin residents. The Supervisors are seeking applicants from each of the five supervisorial districts plus two at-large representatives from anywhere in the county.
The commission’s mission is to promote a community based on social justice with equality for all and to eliminate discrimination based on race, religion, color, age, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, place of birth, national origin, or disability. The commission shall provide a public forum, serve as a resource to the community, and advise the Supervisors on human rights issues.
