San Rafael, CA – A longtime favorite of Marin and greater Bay Area residents, the Marin County Fair has once again earned top recognition at the Western Fairs Association Annual Achievement Awards program.
The 2014 Marin County Fair, themed “The Happiest Fair on Earth,” captured 38 individual achievement awards, making it the most award-winning fair out of the 50 county fairs that were entered in the 2014 awards. The “The Happiest Fair on Earth” also surpassed its predecessor: the 2013 “Schools Rule!” themed fair received 31 awards from the Association.
Nineteen of this year’s awards were first places, and four of the first places received the additional honor of Best Overall in their category. The fair also took home 11 second place, and eight third place awards. (See the full list of awards below.)

The multitude of awards this year is especially gratifying considering the fair’s continued commitment to uphold the title of “The Greenest County fair on Earth”—first bestowed in 2008.
