Free Entry to Marin County Regional Parks

A month of parking and entry fees will be waived to celebrate the holiday season

San Rafael, CA - Thanksgiving is a perfect time to thank Marin County residents for their support. Enjoy Marin County Parks’ holiday gift to you: free entry to the County’s three regional parks from December 1 through January 1, 2015!

In those county parks where entry and/or parking fees are charged (McNears Beach in San Rafael, Paradise Beach in Tiburon, and Stafford Lake in Novato), Marin County Parks will waive those fees during the holidays.

This month of free access provides numerous recreational opportunities for residents and visitors, especially for those individuals and families who do not typically visit parks that charge entry fees. Happy trails (and fishing, kite flying, picnicking, bird watching, kayaking, and disc golfing!). Check out the activity finder at marincountyparks.org to help plan your trips or give us a call at (415) 473-6387.

In addition to the activity finder, be sure to click on our events calendar. With the holiday break coming, and family at home, we are hosting a range of outdoor programs between December 21 and January 3, including: naturalist programs on Mount Burdell Open Space Preserve in Novato (December 21 and 23); a “Learn to Skate” class at the skate park at McInnis Park in San Rafael (December 26); a ranger-guided nature walk at King Mountain Preserve in Kentfield (December 27); and more naturalist programs at White Hill Preserve in West Marin (December 28), at Cascade Canyon Preserve in Fairfax (December 30), and at Stafford Lake Park (January 3).
