Seat Open on Bridge District Board

Board of Supervisors to appoint public member early next year

San Rafael, CA – The application deadline is 5 p.m. December 23 for a public member seat on the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District Board of Directors.

Marin County has four representatives on the district board. Two are members of the Marin County Board of Supervisors, one is a town or city council member and one is a non-elected member of the public.

The board’s purpose is to provide safe, efficient, reliable means for the movement of people, goods and services within the Highway 101 Golden Gate Corridor. In carrying out the mission, the district operates and maintains the Golden Gate Bridge and provides public transit services including bus and ferry systems.
