Vineyard Erosion & Sediment Control
The Vineyard Erosion and Sediment Control (VESCO) program was established to safeguard the public health, safety, and welfare by minimizing erosion and sedimentation in connection with vineyard planting and re-planting in the county; by protecting the lands, streams, oak woodlands, and riparian habitat of the county; and to ensure the long-term economic viability of the county's viticulture, agricultural and natural resources.
