Welcome to District Two online! I hope this site provides you with current and helpful information about issues affecting the district, our communities and county, helps you navigate and access county services and resources, and encourages you to be engaged and involved in county government.

As a lifelong resident of Marin, I appreciate and am inspired by the natural beauty of this county and by the values and priorities of visionary community leaders who made Marin the unique and wonderful place it is.

Building on the legacy of those who came before us means continuing to make open space protection, environmental restoration and community engagement primary priorities. It also means understanding and appreciating the passions people have for special interests - whether that's their children's schools, their neighborhoods, a local effort or a world-wide cause. Our passions, our commitment to community, our willingness to participate play an integral role in distinguishing Marin County, as do our remarkable natural surroundings.

But Marin is not without its challenges. Climate change may be a global issue, but it is wreaking havoc at the local level elevating wildfire risk, sea level rise, and even the public health. The high cost of housing and basic lack of adequate supply continue to impact our most vulnerable, our seniors, workforce, and general community sustainability as we rely more and more on outside resources to support basic community needs. And the ongoing challenges, traffic congestion and aging public infrastructure require our collective attention and collaborative problem solving.

Community involvement, sharing ideas, and participating in discussion and decision making are the cornerstones of democracy and good government. With your help and engagement, I am convinced we will be able to meet the challenges we face, improve on what we have, and make Marin the absolute best it can be.
