The Board will honor Leon Tam of Child Support Services as Employee of the Month. An employee since 1998, Leon has comprehensive knowledge of the program is always willing to politely assist his colleagues and clients. Leon is self-motivated, is a problem-solver, adheres to policies and demonstrates the high work and ethical standards when he reviews cases to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies. Those traits have made him highly admired and respected.

The Board will consider adopting a resolution to honor Deputy County Counsel Jennifer Vuillermet, who is leaving the County after serving 14 years. Vuillermet has been instrumental in the success of the County's Employment Law Team and has provided respresentation to numerous special districts in Marin.

At the request of Supervisor Adams, the Board will consider adopting a resolution proclaiming June, July and August 2013 as Soda-Free Summer in Marin County. In the interest of promoting general health and prevention of obesity and diabetes, the Board is urging residents to "Rethink Your Drink" and refrain from consuming soda.
