McInnis Park, also known as John F. McInnis Park, is a large 450 acre regional park located at 310 Smith Ranch Road in San Rafael. Adjoining extensive bay wetlands to the east, McInnis is a multi-use sports and outdoor activity facility that provides an award-winning skate park, two softball fields, two soccer fields, a canoe launch, four tennis courts, a group picnic area, and nature trails. A private concessionaire operates the McInnis Park Golf Center which offers a nine-hole executive course and driving range, clubhouse, pro shop, restaurant, miniature golf, and batting cages. The picnic area, restrooms, and upper level of the skate park are accessible, as well as the tennis courts and the golf center. McInnis Park - Skate Park Hours
The skate park's hours are the same as the hours for McInnis park. Effective 2012: scooters are permitted in the skate park every day until 1:00 p.m. and all day on Wednesdays at the same time as skateboards and in-line skates. Permissible scooters are human-powered with a handlebar, deck, and wheels. No person shall use the skate park without wearing a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads. Bicycles are not allowed in the skate park.
From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the Lucas Valley/Smith Ranch Rd exit east. The park entrance is at the end of Smith Ranch Rd. Parking is available throughout the park.
