Project Description

The applicant requests Design Review approval to construct a 1601 square foot residence on a developed lot in Mill Valley. The proposed development would result in a floor area ratio of 74 percent on the 7,830 square foot lot. The proposed building would reach a maximum height of 24 feet, 10 inches above surrounding grade and the exterior walls would have the following setbacks: 100 feet from the southern front property line; 5 feet from the western side property line; 27 feet from the eastern side property line; 8 feet, 1 inch from the northern rear property line. Various site improvements would also be entailed in the proposed development, including the construction of a new attached residential accessory dwelling unit (ADU).

Design Review approval is required pursuant to Marin County Code Section 22.42.020.A because the project would be constructed in a Planned zoning district.
